Vera Lloyd is seeking an experienced and mission-driven Director of Residential and Clinical Services to lead the daily operations, residential programs, and clinical services on our Monticello campus. This senior leader plays a key role on the Executive Team and ensures our mission—to heal, prepare, and empower children, youth, and families—is carried out with excellence every day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and oversight for all residential and clinical operations on campus.
  • Ensure high-quality, mission-focused programming that meets licensing, COA, and professional standards.
  • Oversee clinical services and the mental health needs of all clients.
  • Recruit, supervise, support, and develop staff; maintain a positive, high-performing work culture.
  • Monitor program performance, budgets, staffing, and census; take corrective action as needed.
  • Maintain strong relationships with referral sources and grow campus census.
  • Lead staff training to ensure ongoing development and competency.
  • Oversee all compliance with DHS, state and federal laws, licensing standards, Medicaid/insurance requirements, and funder expectations.
  • Maintain campus buildings and grounds in partnership with Maintenance staff and contractors.
  • Provide 24/7 on-call support to supervisors and serve as backup during crises.
  • Lead the Council on Accreditation (COA) process and participate actively in Continuous Quality Improvement.
  • Represent the agency at board meetings, community events, and with key stakeholders.
  • Monitor RFP/RFQ opportunities and coordinate submissions with staff.
  • Keep the CEO informed through consistent communication and reporting.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree from an accredited university.
  • LCSW, LPC
  • Minimum of five (5) years of leadership experience in services for children, youth, and families.
  • Clinical supervisory experience.
  • Strong computer and software proficiency.
  • Ability to pass all background checks and drug screenings.
  • Valid driver's license meeting DHS safety standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing a therapeutic residential facility.
  • Familiarity with Medicaid and private insurance.
  • Experience in a behavioral health clinic.
  • Experience with COA or similar accreditation processes.

Additional Information

  • Preferred candidates will live within 30 miles of the Monticello campus
  • Position is salaried and at times may require more than 40 hours per week.
  • Full-time, Monday–Friday with on-call rotation for crisis management.
  • Regular attendance is required.
  • Six-month probationary period.
