Bank Teller

Location: Pine Bluff, White Hall, Rison, Fordyce
Starting pay: $15.00 per hour
Position Overview

As a Bank Teller, you'll serve as the face of the branch, providing excellent customer service while accurately and securely handling daily financial transactions. Your responsibilities will include assisting customers with check cashing, deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments, all within the framework of bank policies and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities

• Receive and process routine transactions including check cashing, deposits, withdrawals, money orders, cashier's checks, and loan payment collection.
• Maintain and reconcile the cash drawer; balance ledgers, reconcile discrepancies, and prepare bank deposits.
• Verify the authenticity of currency and report any suspected counterfeit or fraudulent activity.
• Assist customers with inquiries about accounts, balances, transaction history, and fees.
• Follow all cash-handling procedures, internal control measures, security protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify opportunities to cross-sell bank products such as accounts, CDs, and loans; refer customers to appropriate specialists.
• Facilitate account opening and closing processes, and support overall branch operations.

• Strong numerical ability and attention to detail.
• Experience with proper cash-handling techniques, ledger balancing, balance allocation, and drawer maintenance.
• Customer-focused communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer proficiency; ability to learn branch banking software.
• Integrity, discretion, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Experience with loan payment processing is a plus.
