Purpose: As a Water Operator you will perform routine functions associated with the daily operations of a collection, treatment and production and distribution system. Conducts and administers all Company work related efforts and activities within the rules, regulations and responsibilities of the most current Company safety policy and OSHA regulation.
Accountabilities:
Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Specialized knowledge of wells, pumps, motors, chlorine generators. Knowledge of plumbing principles and ability to complete repairs to system or make decisions regarding their repairs. Work requires high degree of knowledge of plumbing materials and methods as related to utility improvements. Valid Arkansas Operator's Driver's License, CDL preferred. T1 or a D1 Certification ADEQ (AR Dept of Environmental Quality) or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire. Certification must be kept current throughout employment. Ability to read and understand reports, maps, and drawings. Knowledge of SCADA systems. Requires the ability to perform general math calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, as well as knowledge of common water calculations and their applications. Work requires the ability to keep accurate daily records at well sites and reservoir sites. Work is widely varied, involving analyzing and evaluating many complex and significant variables. Ability to follow instructions in performance of regular maintenance to all portions of system. Ability to work in a team environment supporting efficient and effective completion of work.
