HOURS: Various hours

High school diploma or equivalent required. Provide transportation of patients between rooms and various areas of the hospital. Perform necessary patient care activities and custodial duties as directed. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.

Position requires constant standing and walking for extended periods of time transporting patients by stretcher, wheelchair or bed. Requires pushing, pulling, bending, and stooping to lift patients and medium weight objects.

This position is designated as a safety sensitive position. The essential duties of the job require the employee to work in a constant state of alertness in a safe manner. A lapse in attention to detail may constitute a threat to health or safety resulting in injury, illness, or death.
